It’s typical for one to think that retirement start in the latter part of one’s life, but let’s focus on the word “retirement” itself and what it means.

Retirement – departure, leaving, giving up work, withdrawal, retreat, sequestration.

Though it sounds that retirement is for the senior citizens, it is possible that you can retire at an early age.

Reason for Retiring Young:

• Life is too short to miss out on the good things in life.

Some people when they are given a chance would like to retire at a very young age.

• If one has the money or the means to retire then why not?

They actually have this certain perspective that they want to enjoy life while they are still young, it’s like achieving your goal at a very young age and you don’t want to enjoy it when you can barely run or walk in worse cases. Some don’t see themselves driving they’re retirement car that can happen to be a sports car when they are all old and gray, it doesn’t seem right for them.

• Who wouldn’t want to relax early?

Retiring is not just about leaving your job and becoming stagnant, it’s actually about living your life to the fullest. Having the opportunity to do whatever it is that they haven’t done in your whole life, in this phase, you’ll actually find yourself enjoying the fruits of your hard work. You’ll get to manage your own time.

If all your life you wanted to try sky diving, then go! Live to our heart’s content. If you would like to travel, then go and travel around the world! See the pyramids in Egypt, see the Bahamas, go snorkeling or bungee jumping. It’s all up to you because, you hold your time. You are your own boss.

• Who says you have to be jobless?

Of course one would find ways and reason to go out and be out there, means of not detaching themselves from the human race. You retire from work, but it doesn’t mean that you have to be jobless. You can actually do something or have a job that is so easy that you feel like you’re not working at all and the key is finding something that you’ve always wanted to do.

This can take form in painting and you can actually sell them after; This can take form in teaching students your craft and share that sense of mastery in your life; This can take form in writing or consultancy; So on and so forth.

After reading all of this, retiring young may seem too good to be true, but if you have that luck with you, then grab it. All one can say is lucky you.
